Dr. Teresa Nichols is the Grant and Program Manager for the Center for the Study of Global Change at Indiana University. She coordinates the undergraduate Global Service and Peace Corps Preparation Program and the Indiana Language Roadmap Initiative, among other projects. She has a PhD and MA in Anthropology from Indiana University and has longstanding research interests in cultural heritage preservation, international exchange, and Indigenous rights. Teresa previously served as the Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Project Manager for the National Science Foundation-funded “Learning NAGPRA” Project. She has conducted research on educational praxis relating to ethics and working with Native American communities and facilitated the collaborative development of educational materials. She received a Fulbright U.S. Student program research fellowship to conduct dissertation fieldwork in Mongolia and has also held positions at IU’s Inner Asian and Uralic National Resource Center, IU’s Department of Anthropology, the Arts Council of Mongolia, and the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History.
