Celina Jaffe is the Associate Director of the Center for the Study of Global Change at IU Bloomington. As AD, she coordinates a wide variety of programs, such as the Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowship and the Institute for Curriculum and Campus Internationalization, to internationalize education at all levels across the state of Indiana. In previous roles at IU, Celina ran the Bridges: Children, Languages, World program virtually during the pandemic and launched the annual Language Summer Camp in collaboration with the Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies and the International School of Indiana.
Prior to becoming AD, Celina served as the teaching assistant programs manager at the French Embassy in Washington, DC. There she doubled the number of French interns working French language immersion schools across the US and managed all aspects of the Teaching Assistant Program in France, founding the TAPIF Alumni Association in 2023. Celina has worked as a freelance dance artist in Europe, in the arts management industry in Ireland, as an English professor and tutor in France, and as a bilingual preschool teacher in the US. She received her MA in Contemporary Dance Performance from the University of Limerick in 2017 and her BA in French and International Studies at IUB in 2010.
