Framing a new world

Framing the Global is an initiative of Indiana University Press and the Indiana University Center for the Study of Global Change, funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

Founded in 2011, Framing the Global can already boast of many remarkable accomplishments. We:

  • Support a working group of scholars and practitioners who generate and apply new, integrative approaches to Global Studies and write essays and books. In 2013, we sponsored an international conference that presented and assessed the working group’s findings.
  • Offer a program of visiting scholars/lecturers who speak at Indiana University, meet with classes, and consult with the working group.
  • Publish the Global Research Studies book series with Indiana University Press.
