Global learning: producing citizens of the world

“To change the world, you must first seek to understand it.” The Center for the Study of Global Change embraces the motto of Hamilton Lugar School of Global & International Studies at Indiana University. We aim to produce citizens of the world, whether they are four years old or forty, and whether the learning takes place on or off our campus. The Global Center creates diverse and inclusive learning environments that foster global engagement, understanding, and responsibility.

Students who study issues of global change are forced to see the world through a broader lens. We encourage them to see problems from different perspectives and to learn how to identify and value cultural, social, and political differences.
