The Center for the Study of Global Change is a vibrant hub for international, global, and interdisciplinary programs across Bloomington, the state of Indiana, and beyond. We collaborate with campus partners, governmental institutions, and community organizations to host a variety of events throughout the year, from brown bag discussions to scholarly symposia.

Every year, the Global Center sponsors eagerly anticipated gatherings such as the Institute for Curriculum and Campus Internationalization (ICCI). Held on IU’s Bloomington campus, ICCI is a four-day institute for higher education faculty, staff, and administrators to come up with new ways to internationalize their campus, courses, and curriculum.
Our Global Studies Positioning Series (GSPS) is another annual series that has become a centerpiece of campus academic life. We select topics, such as “Gender and Geopolitics” or “Cybersecurity and Changing Notions of Power States,” and invite scholars to lecture and lead interdisciplinary discussions.
Our Global Listserv is a useful way to keep your finger on the pulse of change. It includes:
- IU and Bloomington cultural and academic events with a global focus
- Announcements about opportunities for educators and students
- Postings of Global Center sponsored programs
