The Center for the Study of Global Change works closely with Indiana University’s International Studies Department as well as other campus units to develop a wide variety of academic programs to enhance IU’s extensive international curriculum. The Global Center promotes a fresh approach to foreign-language instruction and to the teaching and research of global issues. We encourage the development of interactive digital media and creative pedagogies and foster international collaborations, faculty study groups, interdisciplinary academic programs, courses, and symposiums.
Building academic partnerships
When I was a Ph.D. student, the Center for the Study of Global Change was the one place where I crossed continents and disciplines in a single class and engaged deeply with colleagues on issues from indigenous rights to sustainability to education equity.
