The Digital Pathways project helped instructors at IU's Bloomington campus use video conferencing to foster International Conversations Across the Curriculum. That's where the project acronym—ICAC—came from.
The Digital Pathways/ICAC project was a joint initiative of the Center for the Study of Global Change, the International Studies Program, Hutton Honors College/Wells Scholars Program, and the Pan Asia Institute. Though the initiative is no longer active, video conferencing technology remains a great pedagogical tool. It can be a key part of semester-long instruction, a series of lectures from expert scholars, or an extracurricular event that provides a chance to interact with scholars around the world.
