David E. Albright Memorial Scholarship

Mrs. Ruth Albright and the Global Center were pleased to welcome two new students as recipients of the Albright Memorial Scholarship, established in memory of Mrs. Albright’s husband Dr. David Albright. Dr. David Albright was a valued former colleague of the Global Center and a champion of international studies education. This scholarship is awarded to students who display a passion for international issues, and the dual 2020 recipients are no exception. Congratulations to our 2020 recipients!

Mesa Sebree

Recipient Mesa Sebree is majoring in International Studies and Political Science with a minor in French. At IU, her passion has been to coordinate collation projects with several student groups including Oxfam at IU and Students for a Green New World.

Stuart Sones

Our second recipient, Stuart Sones, is studying Anthropology, Near Eastern Languages & Cultures, Islamic Studies, and Spanish. His research interests focus on performance, intertextuality, and music in social movements in North Africa and Stuart stays active on campus in several music ensembles.
