This year the Indiana Language Roadmap launched its first grants for community projects. In the inaugural competition, the Indiana Language Roadmap awarded grants to 8 community projects and offered resources and connections to several other applicants. Grants were given to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Indiana Chapter; Anda Spanish LLC; Department of Modern Languages, IU Southeast; Immigrant Welcome Center; Indianapolis Sister Cities Teacher and Student Outreach Committee; the International Center; International Center for Intercultural Communication, IUPUI; and Metropolitan School District of Washington Township. Community project grant recipients will share the outcomes of their efforts and lessons learned at a public webinar in Summer 2021. The deadline to apply for a 2021 community project grant will be May 1, 2021; application and details will be available online soon.
